STAR-TIDES (Sharing To Accelerate Research – Transformative Innovation for Development and Emergency Support) is a global network of several thousand people and organizations from government, the private sector, academia, NGOs and others. Members share knowledge to help build sustainable resilience and improve emergency responses.  STAR-TIDES is coordinated with the Center for Resilient and Sustainable Communities (C-RASC) at George Mason University.

The upcoming 19th Annual Capabilities Demo will take place from Apr. 13th-14th, 2026 at George Mason University’s Arlington, Virginia campus (“Mason Square”) near Washington, DC.  The theme will be “Resilience Reimagined: Empowering Local Communities in an Era of Declining Federal Support.” A follow-on event will be held in the Pentagon Center Courtyard from April 15th-16th, 2026. Please visit the “19th Annual STAR-TIDES Capabilities Demonstration” page for additional details including exhibition and sponsorship opportunities.

The STAR-TIDES Fireside Chat is a series of discussions featuring distinguished speakers on topics of interest to the STAR-TIDES community.
